Generous donations from Carroll County Energy support local 4-H children; while funding meals for nearby Senior Center with the purchases

This summer, Carroll County Energy once again attended the small animal auction at the 173^rd Carroll County Jr. Fair. Carroll County Energy representatives generously bid on the livestock, which was raised and proudly shown at the fair by local 4H youth. Carroll County Energy purchased a total of 30 market chickens, ducks, goats, rabbits and turkeys. It was also heartwarming to see attendees at the livestock auction contribute generously to hospital expenses for one of the 4H youths who was very ill and unable to attend the auction. Local children and their families were extremely grateful for the support. Carroll County Energy then donated the purchased livestock to the Carroll County Golden Age Retreat Senior Residence Home.  This local Senior Home is thrilled to use the donated poultry to provide meals for an entire year, for their elder residents.
