Local first responders are most effective when they are afforded an opportunity to perform training and get familiar with buildings and equipment at local businesses. Carroll County Energy Facility started producing electricity in late December 2017. Now that the facility is in full commercial operation, site representatives hosted a training class on March 19th for the Carroll County Volunteer Fire Department. Later in the month on March 26th Site Environmental Health and Safety Manager Tim Smith, shown above, held a separate joint training exercise with the Carrollton City Fire Department. Members of both departments were able to tour the site and get accommodated with the equipment at Carroll County Energy Facility. Both meetings were organized so that first responders could meet plant operators and familiarize themselves with the facility layout and plant operations.
