About Carroll County Energy

Carroll County Energy is a 700 megawatt, natural gas fired power generation facility under construction in Carroll County, Ohio. The facility is on 77 acres of land located one-half mile east of Ohio 9 and 2.5 miles north of Carrollton and it is adjacent to Carroll County Community Improvement Corporation land that is designated for industrial and commercial development.

The project is under construction by Bechtel Power Corporation.  Expected completion date for the construction is December 2017.  

Carroll County Energy is owned by a consortium of equity investors that include Advanced Power, TIAA-CREF, Chubu Electric Power Comapny, Ullico and Prudential.  Advanced Power will continue its role in Carroll County Energy as a equity partner and asset manager through construction and beyond the start of commercial operations.
